Dr. Kumar Mukul Mishra– Currently Working as an Associate
Professor at Institute of Management
Studies and Research, Hubli since 02 February 2012. He is teaching HRM, OB
and some HR specialization courses (like Organizational Development,
Leadership, Strategic HRM and Corporate Restructuring: Human Dimensions etc.).
He has taught Entrepreneurship and Sociology related subjects in his earlier
work assignments. He has around 18 years of teaching and research experience.
Dr. Kumar
Mukul Mishra holds a Post graduate
(Sociology) from JNU, New Delhi and is NET
and JRF qualified. He has done Diploma in HRM-six month course (Gold
Medalist) from Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA), Ahmedabad.
He has done PhD in management from School of Management
and Labour Studies, Tata Institute for Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. On
the topic “Social Capital of
Entrepreneurs as a Strategic Resource in new Entrepreneurial Firms” under
Prof. Satyajit Majumdar, a leading figure in the domain of social
entrepreneurship in India.
He has earlier
worked as Academic associate at IIMA
(for four years). At IIMA he worked with leading faculty (Prof. T.V. Rao,
Prof. Neharika Vohra, Prof. Ernesto Noronha, Prof. Pradyumna Khokle, Prof,
Deepti Bhatnagar, Prof. Premilla D’Souza etc.) in the areas of OB/HR. Courses
assisted (and attended) at IIMA tenure include: OB, OD, HRM, Interpersonal and Group
Processes, Leadership Growth Lab,
Organizational Diagnosis, Tracking
Organizational Performance, Explorations
in Role and Identity and Research
Methodology. Also provided academic/organizational assistance in several
Management Development Programmes ((MDP) and Faculty Development Programmes
(FDP) conducted there.
Dr. Kumar
Mukul Mishra also worked as a Faculty at
EDII (Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India), Ahmedabad.
He has
national and international publications (including Scopus) as well as
conference presentations to his credit. I have also organized and conducted
many training programmes, workshops, management events, fests, seminars,
conferences etc. for employees and students.
He is a reviewer for Sage Publications.
His research
interests include entrepreneurship, startups and social capital personal
effectiveness and people management issues in organization.
He has been an
examiner for Karnataka University
since 2012.
He is actively
involved in activities for social causes and has taken many initiatives for the
same.
