He has an industry experience of 20 years (approx.) in marketing and has worked extensively in exports field with The Mysore Kirloskar Limited, Hubli / Harihar, Karnataka, during 1981 - 2000.
While he has hands on experience of dealership management in both domestic and international marketing, he has also widely traveled during his service. He has visited USA, Canada, Germany and U.K. during 1987 for export market development and in 1997 he was part of Kirloskar-Group team which undertook a market research project in African countries of Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. He has also participated in international exhibitions of IMTEX held at Mumbai and New Delhi during 1980s and 1990s and represented his company. He has done a Lead Assessor program for ISO-9000 and had been associated with ISO-9000 activities of his company.
He is graduate in commerce discipline with 5th rank to Karnatak University, Dharwad (1979) and post-graduate in business administration (M.B.A.) from Kousali Institute of Management Studies, Karnatak University, Dharwad (1981) with 3rd rank to university. He obtained his second PG degree of Masters of Marketing Management from Pondicherry University (Distance mode) in 2004. He has also passed the National Eligibility Test (NET) in 2011.
He has teaching experience of 15 years (approx.) with 5 years at B.V.V. Sangha's Institute of Management Studies, Bagalkot and 10 years at K.L.E. Society's Institute of Management Studies and Research, Hubli. He has also handled sessions at Kousali Institute of Management Studies, Karnatak University, Dharwad and B.L.D.E. Association's A.S.Patil College of Commerce, Bijapur, as a visiting faculty for MBA students.
He has been associated as a resource person for various training programs conducted for Kuvempu University, Shimoga, STEP-Bagalkot, Rural Development Foundation, Bagalkot, KSFC Bagalkot and Polytechnic Institutes at Bagalkot and Guledgudd.
He has attended many Faculty Development Programs like National Workshop on Case Method of Teaching at Goa (sponsored by AICTE), Quality Improvement Program on Lead India Corporate Strategies and Case Analysis at NMIMS, Mumbai (sponsored by AICTE), Developing Research Proposal to avail government schemes at IMER, Belgaum, New Trends in Management at KLS Gogte Institute of Technology, Belgaum, and many others.
He has published and presented many papers at different conferences and workshops. He presented papers "Emerging Trends in Corporate Social Responsibility in India" at International Conference on Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility at IMER, Belgaum (Dec.2009), "Role of Strategic Alliances in Competitive Era" at BLDE MBA Program, Bijapur (Dec. 2005), "Changing Dimensions of Global Marketing" at 2nd Nitte International Conference at Justice K S Hegde Institute of Management, Nitte (Dec. 2010). His publications include "Emerging Trends in Banking Sector: Issues, Challenges, and Dimensions," "Trends in Marketing in India," "Managing Global Brands" (in Indian Journal of Marketing), "Recession in Manufacturing sector and Strategic Options in front of Industry - An Indian Perspective," and others.
He believes in maintaining contacts with industry people and interacting with them regularly to understand new developments in the corporate world and bring those knowledge sets in class room sessions to develop understanding among students. He likes traveling and reading books. He has keen interest in monitoring strategic developments in corporate world due to changes in external environment. He is also a Chief Editor of Institute's bi-annual journal "Spurthi".
